Joyce Ann Sanderson

On April 27, 2024, Joyce Ann Sanderson passed from this life into eternity. She has been battling cancer for one and half years. She was born in Williamsburg, VA, on June 19, 1949. She was a graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College with an ADN in nursing followed with a BSN in nursing from MUSC. She practiced nursing for 31 years. She is survived by her husband Ron Sanderson; sons, Derek Hoke of Nashville, Matt Sanderson of Florence; daughter, Grace Sanderson of Florence; brothers, John Gardener of Virginia and Gene Mepham of Florida. She loved her life, with her greatest joy being raising her amazing children. She enjoyed a good book, sitting on the beach in the late afternoon until sunset, riding her bike or just sitting and listening to the birds sing. My roots, my wings with the lord. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 2:00-3:30 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 4:30 at Red Hill Cemetery in Mullins, SC.
