Judith Matz Crawford 5.27.1944 - 11.25.2021 Judy was born in the Bronx but raised in Highland Falls, NY where her love of horses developed. She did not let being an amputee stop her from anything, let alone becoming a nearly professional level rider. Judy later started working for North Star Bank, which went on to become Fleet Bank and finally Bank of America. She was a commercial loans officer helping many businesses in the Newburgh community. She was there many years before working accounts payable and receivables for ETC Data Services, later Nexxlinx. Mother to Jessica (Paul Malvarosa), she became very involved in school fundraising. She created, ran and participated in many events for St Joseph's of New Windsor and Sacred Heart - St Francis, as well as Our Lady of Lourdes. She loved watching her daughter in cheerleading competitions, her favorite being OCPSL at MSMC. Judy also assistant coached SH-SF cheerleading with her daughter, she was always very proud of every child on their teams. Married to Jerry for 53 years, they moved from NY to SC after her health took a turn in 2019. She kept him on his toes all the way to the end, as any good woman should. They loved to travel, seeing the country and friends and shared a love of fishing. Judy loved her friends and family fiercely, especially her best friend/dog Cindy and her grand-pups Gunnar, Chloe and Beyla. She was always there to lend a helping hand, shoulder to cry on and would always give to those in need. She is predeceased by her parents Madeline Doernberg and Adolf Matz and sisters Lois Gordon and Joan Pryor. Judy is survived by her loving husband Jerry, daughter Jessica and son (in law) Paul, and sister Barbara DeLorenzo as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
