Julie Amber Kemmerlin passed away peacefully on March 7th. She was the daughter of Mrs. Amber D. Padgett (Cornell) and the late J. Samuel Kemmerlin (Sammy). She was born on March 25, 1970, in Florence and lived in Florence all of her life. Growing up, Julie was an avid softball player. She was nicknamed “Jules” by teammates and traveled in surrounding areas on many All-Star softball teams. She played with tenacity and perseverance and those qualities were evident throughout her life. During this time, she attended the Florence Baptist Temple and South Florence schools. She was active in Sunday School worship and activities. For the last 8 years she enjoyed her Folk Art business and sold many of her drawings and art pieces. Julie loved people and had a big compassionate heart. She extended love and care to others in need. She loved her family and friends and a feline friend named Henrietta. There is no doubt Julie resides in heaven with our Lord. We will always remember her smile, and her great sense of humor.
