JUNE MARGARET SCHMIDT KNISKERN FLORENCE, SC JUNE MARGARET SCHMIDT KNISKERN, 88, of Florence, SC formerly of Cranford, NJ, died Friday, June 03, 2011 in a Florence health care facility after an illness. Mrs. Kniskern was born in Newark, NJ, a daughter of the late Anton and Anna Kobin Schmidt.She was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Garwood, NJ where she was a lifetime member of the Altar and Rosary Society and chairperson for the church's bingo.She was a resident of Cranford, NJ from 1952 until she moved to Florence in 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard John Kniskern, who died July 15, 1978 and a brother, Walter J. Schmidt. Surviving are her daughters, Janet Kniskern (Paul Kaye) of Lambertville, NJ and Barbara (Jeff) Osborne of Florence; grandchildren, Lindsay, Sarah and Meghan Osborne all of Florence; sister, Ruth (William) Ahaimer of Newton, PA; sister-in-law, Barbara Schmidt of Calabash, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Anne's Church in Garwood, NJ. A mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Garwood, NJ.Committal services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ. The family will receive friends immediately before the funeral mass from 9 – 10 AM at the church in Garwood, NJ.
