June Carol Hanna Poston

June Carol Hanna Poston, 86, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Mrs. Poston was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Braddy Columbus Hanna and Queen Leah Prosser Hanna. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Wilson Poston; sons, Terry Poston and Randy Poston; brothers, Furman Hanna, Wilson Hanna, Alfred Hanna, and Norman Hanna; sisters, Opal Godwin, Evelyn Hanna, Eudora Spivey, and Myrl Hanna. Surviving is her son, David (Marci) Poston of St. Augustine, FL; daughters, Gwen (Steve) Buffkin of Lamar and Dawn (Steve) Bryan of Gray Court, SC; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arnette Purvis of Florence. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Friday, September 8, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery.
