Karen Lee Lookenott

Karen Lee Lookenott, 68, entered the gates of Heaven Thursday, August 15, 2024. Ms. Lookenott was born in Shreveport, LA., the daughter of the late Donald Eugene Lookenott and Mary Florence Cato Lookenott. Karen was a lady of great faith and was a member of Abundant Life Church. She was a friend to everyone she met, and her friends quickly became a part of her family, but none closer than her dear friend, Vi Hayes. Karen was an avid nature buff, who loved music, cooking, photography and horseback riding. She loved her two most favorite fur-babies Teddy and Bebe. Karen was well educated, as she attended FMU, Christian Life School of Theology and Northwestern Louisiana State University and was accepted to Juliard. Among the companies she worked with were the Ammo Facility at Fort Smith, Arkansas, Dupont, and finally retired from Computer Science Corp as a System Engineer for multiple companies where she worked with the IRS. The countries of Australia and Singapore, all requested her personally. Karen will be surely missed by all who knew and loved her. Please join us in a celebration of the life of this great sister at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 PM.
