Kathleen Cole Davis

Kathleen Cole Davis Florence, SC Kathleen C. Davis went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15, 2001 after an extended illness. Kathleen was born in Turbeville, SC, the daughter of the late David Emerson and Susan Virginia Burgess Cole. She retired from Southern Bell as an operator and instructor, and was a member and volunteer for the Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Effie Flowers Sunday School Class and was active in the W.M.U. and the J.O.Y. Club. After retiring she worked with theMothers Morning Out at Central United Methodist Church taking care of "her babies". She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James W. "Jim" Davis and husband Benjamin "Bennie" Harrell. Survivors include her daughter, Susie Wright and son-in-law, Richard Wright of Florence. Grandson, Webb Wright of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Dr. Jaime Wright of Charleston, SC; stepdaughter, Claire Harrell of Pinehurst, NC; sisters, Selma Miller of Darlington, Frances Bailey of Florence; brother, David Cole of Jacksonville, Fl. Funeral services will be at Immanuel Baptist Church on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at the church.
