Kathleen Conyers Pridgen

Kathleen Conyers Pridgen, 93, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Mrs. Pridgen was born in Florence, SC, on April 29, 1928, a daughter of the late William Martin Conyers and the late Viola M. Conyers. She was a graduate of McClenaghan High School.Ms. Pridgen was a member of Tans Bay Baptist Church and a member of Joy Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sergeant Major Carlton L. Pridgen, daughter, Kathy Diane Merrill and her husband, Russell; son-in-law, Donald Matthews, and five sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Patti Matthews; two grandchildren, Erik Merrill (Crystal) and Austin Merrill (Allie Williams); a great-grandson, Bentley Merrill; three sisters, Betty Ham, Gloria Hooper (Jerry) and Edith Knight. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tans Bay Baptist Church, 3919 S.
