KATHLEEN WADDELL ROBINSON FLORENCE, S.C. KATHLEEN WADDELL ROBINSON, 76, of Florence, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in a Florence healthcare facility after an illness. Mrs. Robinson was born in Effingham, a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Frank Waddell, Sr.She had graduated from Tans Bay High School, and retired from AT&T after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and attended Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlisle Robinson, Sr., by her son, Douglas A. Robinson, a grandson, Charles Kenneth Robinson, Jr., and by her siblings; Geniveve Best, Helen Anderson, Lurline McBride, Royce Waddell, Skip Waddell, Frank Waddell, Jr. and Ted. Waddell. She is survived by her children; Ava (Dickie) Ham of Florence, Kathryn (Barry) Goodson of Florence, Susan (Tim) Spurling of Timmonsville, Kenny (Christie) Robinson of Florence, and Billy (Julie) Robinson of Florence;her sister; Sybil Mills of Effingham, her brother, Dean (Margaret) Waddell of Florence, her sister-in-law, Ethel Robinson of Florence; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 19, 2011 in Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
