Katie Lee Rogers Corey

Katie Lee Rogers Corey, 88, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, December 30. 2021. Mrs. Corey was born in Alcolu, SC, a daughter of the late Estelle Braxton Rogers and Jimmy Rogers.She was a member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Corey loved gardening and cooking and loved making friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Harold “Bill” Corey; brothers, James Rogers, George Rogers, Crawford Rogers, Alton Rogers, Ervin Rogers and Bobby Rogers; and sisters, Nettie Griffith, Elma Miles, Lois Lyles, Rebecca Herron and Dorothy Wisner. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Elma Rogers and Oleata Rogers. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church, 2317 Hoffmeyer Road, Florence, SC29501. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel and streamed live on the Mount Hope Facebook page.Entombment will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
