Kenneth Joseph Carr

Kenneth Joseph Carr, 68, of Florence, SC passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Mr. Carr was born in Warwick, NY a son of Shirley Parmerter Carr and the late Norman Carr. He came from a family of firefighters and moved to SC in 1989 to become one and retired as Fire Marshal. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time and loved cooking. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Janet Lanciki, and niece, Laura Zwanziger. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois Zwanziger Carr; brother, Steven Carr (Danny Conroy); brother-in-law, Howard (Lynne) Zwanziger; sister-in-law, Paula Faith; nieces and nephews, Karen (James) Simmons, Christopher Morrow, Douglas Morrow, Jessica Morrow (Adrian Smith), Wendy (Scott) Reaves, Elizabeth Young (Jeremy Vanneman), Amber Faith (Jesse Nelson), Jonathan (Stephanie) Faith, and Christy Zwanziger; great-nieces and great-nephews, James, Jada, and Julian Simmons, Douglas Morrow Jr and Cadence Morrow, Ava and Jordyn Smith, McKenley Reaves, Claire and Colton Young, Lila, Scarlett, and Jackson Faith; uncle, Robert Parmerter; aunt, Iva (Frederick) Blanchard; cousins, Dr. Clinton Leinweber, Linda (John) Casbar, and Beth Leinweber. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will follow immediately after at Florence Memorial Gardens.
