Kenneth Austin Collins

Kenneth Austin Collins, 72, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at McLeod Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Collins was born the son of the late Ruth Alford Collins and Horace Collins. He graduated from Green Sea High School and went to Coastal Carolina University. He then joined the US Army. Mr. Collins was an insurance agent for United Insurance Company of America for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher and was a part of the Brotherhood at the church. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Bryan Kelly Collins. Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Judy Pulley Collins; son, Rodney (Mandy) Collins of Florence; grandchildren, Austin N. Collins, Sean A. Collins, Waylon Lloyd, Morgan Lloyd, Vivian Lloyd Adams, Emily Lloyd and Merideth Lloyd; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony (Vicki) Collins of Loris, SC and sisters, Catherine (Mike) Hufford of Green Sea, SC and Betty Jean (Joe) Pridgen of Conway. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Mizpah Baptist Church with the service to be held at 2:00 in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Mizpah Cemetery with Military Honors directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
