Kenneth Ray Crawford

Kenneth Ray Crawford,75, of Florence, SC passed away on January 3, 2024. Mr. Crawford was born on January 5, 1948, to the late Daniel Kelly and Azalee Hyatt Crawford. He attended Anderson College on a baseball scholarship and went on to coach youth baseball at Tara Village for many years. He retired last September after many years in the insurance profession and was a member at Lake Swamp Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by first wife Anne Keefe Crawford, and two brothers, Floyd and Doug Crawford. Mr. Crawford is survived by wife, Peggy Crawford; brother, Herbert Daniel Crawford; son, Chris(Rachel) Crawford; stepson, Steven Clark(Melinda) Hyatt; daughter, Tina(Charles) Modrell; stepdaughter, Krysta Hyatt(Brandon) Carrigan; grandchildren, Chase(Casey) Modrell, Tara Shockey, Christina Davis, Tabitha Modrell, Kelsey Crawford, Christopher(Bracey) Crawford, Daniel Crawford, Rebecca Hyatt, Cathryn Hyatt, Colton James, Brayden James; great grandchild, Alex Davis. Memorials may be made to Lake Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund, 6568 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161. Family will receive friends at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2023. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Lake Swamp Baptist Church.
