Kenneth Oscar Moody

KENNETH OSCAR MOODY FLORENCE, SC KENNETH OSCAR MOODY, 77, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in a local hospital. Mr. Moody was born in Darlington County, a son of the late William Fleetwood Moody and Anna Bell Easterling Moody. He attended Hartsville High School, retired from J.B. Hunt Trucking, was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard, the Masons and was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Eunice Lewis Moody. Surviving are his children, Joyce (Michael) Welch of Lake City; Randy (Peggy) Moody of Hartsville; Janice (Jimmy) Sharp of Lake City; Kenneth O. (Alice) Moody of Hartsville; Sherry (Paul) Lee of Lake City; step-daughter, Jacquelyn D Keeney of Florence; sister, Dorothy Stephens of Oates; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House of the Pee Dee, 1203 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29501.
