Legrande Collins Florence, SC Legrande Collins, 72, died Saturday morning, January 14, 2012 at his residence after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at Willow Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Collins was born in Marion Co., SC a son of the late Franklin James and Betty McClellen Collins. He was a faithful member of Willow Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Betty Jean Woodard and Mildred Johnson; 2 brothers, Frank Collins, Jr. and Lanue Collins. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Peggy Collins of the home; daughter, Virginia Collins (Tommy) Lee of Florence; son, Johnson Lee Collins of Mullins; other children, Barbara Collins and Harold Collins of Washington, Ga; 2 brothers, Ronald L. Collins of Floydale, SC, and William Collins of Richmond, Va; 3 sisters, Mary (Jerry) Johnson of Pamplico, Frankie Mae Godbold of Marion and Jesse Rose Johnson of Charlotte; many grand and great-grandchildren and special friend, Frank Hodge. Memorials may be made to Willow Creek Baptist Church.
