Linda Y. Sharpe

Linda Y. Sharpe, 77, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Lena Mae Yarborough and Richard Yarborough, Linda was known for her gentle soul, wise heart, and sweet spirit. She deeply loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Linda's faith was central to her life, and she always placed the Lord first. Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she found peace in sitting on her deck, savoring the beauty of God's creation. Her grandchildren knew they could always count on her to have the freezer stocked with ice cream. She was a dedicated member of Compassion Church. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband, Bing D. Sharpe and her siblings, Patsy Jolly and Richard Yarborough Jr. She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Yarborough (Linda) of Florence. She is also survived by her daughter, Donna Cantley (Melvin); her son, Mikell Wood (Cindy); her son/grandson, Mikle Nevels (Amy); her grandchildren, Dayton Cantley (Jessica), Rhonda Carroway, Nicholas Wood, and Ashlyn McPeters (Nathan); and her great-grandchildren, Lila Nevels, Collin Nevels, Libby Nevels, Alice Cantley, Dax Cantley, Drake Carroway, and Alayna McPeters. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27th at Compassion Church at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
