Lois Annelle Orphan

Lois Annelle Orphan, 75, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Mrs. Orphan was born in Kershaw Co., SC a daughter of the late Sing Lonnie Hinson and Mae Nell Colvin Hinson.She was a nurse technician for McLeod and retired after 25 years and had been a charter member of Delta Zeta Sorority.She was a member of the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chris John Orphan, Sr.; son, George Pete Orphan; brother, Lonnie L. Hinson; sister, Judy Giles. Surviving are her son, Chris John (Crystal) Orphan, Jr. of Florence; daughter, Angela Christina (Russell) Reinhart of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Orphan, Austin DeHart, and Anna DeHart; sister, Brenda Garris of Sumter, SC; and her furry friend, Lexi. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502, www.mcleodfoundation.org. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.Burial will be at a later date in the Florence National Cemetery.
