Luther B. "L.B." Hicks

Luther B. “L.B.” Hicks, 84, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Mr. Hicks was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Luther Mixon Hicks and Pearl Conyers Hicks. He was the owner and operator of Hicks Logging. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria Ann Cain Hicks, and by a daughter, Donna Ann Hicks. Surviving are his son, Danny Bertis (Joyce) Hicks of Florence; daughters, Pamela Hicks Kwiatkowski and Sandra (Ernest) Daniels, both of Florence; grandchildren, Brian (Jessica) Hicks, Shannon Daniels, Heather (Brandon) Wiggins, Wendell Smith, Jr., Jessica “Jessie” Hicks, and Ernest (Taylor) Daniels, Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren, and sister, Anna (David) Isgett of Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pamplico.
