Macie Cook Page FLORENCE, SC Macie Cook Page, 81, of Florence, died Monday, October 31, 2011 in a Florence health care facility after an illness. Ms. Page was born in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late J. Ben Cook and Mary Jane James Cook. She graduated from McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing in 1953 and went on to work as a RN for Florence Dermatology for nearly twenty years. Ms. Page is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eddie Kim Page;her brothers, Gibson Cook, Lloyd Cook, Billy Ned Cook, Legrand Cook, and J.B. Cook, Jr.; her sisters, Fancy Lee McNeil and Mildred Vaught. Surviving are her son, Douglas S. Page; her daughter, Amy S. Page both of Florence; granddaughter, Crystal Page (Eddie) DeFee of Effingham; 3 great-grandchildren, Owen DeFee, Evan DeFee, Taryn DeFee all of Effingham; and many loving nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Graveside services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
