Margaret May Leis Florence, South Carolina Margaret May Leis., 84, of Florence passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC. Mrs. Leis was born in Toledo, OH, a daughter of the late William and Flora Stevens Byers. She attended St. Luke Lutheran in Florence, SC, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard E. Leis; by her sons, Leonard E. Leis, Jr.,Thomas M. Leis, Robert A. Leis, and Timothy E. Leis; brother, Marion Byers; and by a sister, Florence Byers. Mrs. Leis is survived by her daughters, Ella E. (Daniel) Breeding of Florence, and Lori S. (Rick) Angel of Monroe, MI; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Toledo Ohio with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow at Ottowa Hills Memorial Cemetery, directed by Rupp Funeral Home. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements in Florence, SC.
