Maria B. Stanley

Maria B. Stanley, 96, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Maria was born in Arnstorf, Germany, to the late Alois and Maria Bresele. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Maria delighted in spending time with family including preparing her famous fried chicken and German potato salad and delivering it to our homes most Sundays. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Wilson P. Stanley and her granddaughters, Beth and Karen Stanley, brothers Oscar and Alois and sister, Thea. Mrs. Stanley is survived by Jim (Betty) Stanley and Lana (Steve) Ross of Florence, SC and Thomas (Pam) Stanley of Round Rock, TX; six grandchildren, Michelle Stanley (Joey) Grice of Beaufort, SC, Jimmy (Kristen) Stanley, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, Patrick Stanley of Charlotte, NC, Matthew Ross and Emily Ross of Florence, Ellen Ross (Brent) Rodgers of Columbia, SC, and Mary Stanley of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jack Grice, Jimmy and John Stanley, Ethan Rodgers, and Eleanor, Scout, Lydia, Rosetta, and Janek Hausen of Round Rock, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tunnel to Towers, (https://t2t.org) or to SC School for the Deaf and Blind, (www.scsdb.org) The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
