Marion Richard Collins

Marion Richard Collins, 84, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Mr. Collins was born the son of the late Perniece Hall Collins and Fred Richard Collins. He was a mechanic and crane operator for Smurfit Stone Container. Mr. Collins was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his Country and was a member of the National Guard. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Iris Stalvey Collins. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Reed of Effingham, Kristina (David) Jolley of Florence and Joye (Matthew) Schaffer of Darlington; seven grandchildren, Trey Reed, Madeline (Gregory) Belk, Joshua Reed, and Ian, Wyatt, Blake and Sonoma Jolley; and two-great-grandchildren, Eleanor Iris Belk and Gemma Grace Belk. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
