MARK JOSEPH MATHER FLORENCE, S.C. MARK JOSEPH MATHER, 53, of Hickory, MS, formerly of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 after a sudden illness. Mark was born in Monroe, MI, a son of Orpha Hoskins Mather and the late Ernest F. Mather.He had been employed with La-Z-Boy in Florence and had recently moved to Mississippi to be with his mother. He loved fishing, and was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving in addition to his mother of Hickory, MS are his brother, Donald Wayne (Debra) Mather of Decatur, MS; a sister, Patti M. (Walkie) White of Timmonsville; 2 nieces and 3 nephews, as well as his canine companion, Sonny. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M.
