MARY ANNE GARRETT TAYLOR Florence, SC Mary Anne Garrett Taylor, 79, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Taylor was born in Clinton, SC, a daughter of the late Charlie Garrett and Alice Garrett Simpson. She was raised in Clinton, SC by her late grandmother, Mollie Donnan Garrett and later moved to Florence in 1969.Mrs. Taylor was a member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.She worked in the textile industry for a number of years and later retired as an LPN from the Presbyterian Home of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Billy) Jones of Florence, SC and Chip (Sarah) Taylor of Arizona; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Highway 308, Laurens, SC 29360 directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Billy and Patricia Jones, 2317 Dudley Drive, Florence, SC.
