Mary Frances Calcutt Johnson Clark Florence, SC Mary Frances Calcutt Johnson Clark, 90, of the Carolinian, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in a local health care facility after an illness. Mrs. Clark was born in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Furman Monroe and Tinie Pearl Madden Calcutt, Sr.She was the Owner-Operator of Johnson's Diner and Midway Diner.She also was employed as a clerk with Uniforms by John.She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as a Bible Point, and a faithful member of Truth Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher helping spread the Gospel to others.She was dearly loved by her family and by all she met, and showed her Christianity in her everyday Life. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 34 years, John W. Johnson, Sr., and her second husband, Walter C. Clark. Surviving are a son, John W. (Mamie O.) Johnson, Jr., of Florence; a daughter, Patricia J. (Oliver R. "Buddy") Stephenson, of Norwood, NC; a brother, Furman M. Calcutt, Jr. of Florence, five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Truth Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, PO Box 5011, Florence, SC 29502. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
