Mary H. Oliver Derringer

Mary H. Oliver Derringer, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born the daughter of the late Odell Bailey Hinds and Charles Hinds. She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husbands, Thomas L. Oliver and Norman Derringer; brothers, Grady Hinds and Aubrey Hinds; and sister, Carolyn Hayes. Mrs. Derringer is survived by her son, Charles T. Oliver of Durham, NC; Daughter, Robin O. Hewitt of Florence; grandchild, Sterling A. (Mary-Steven) Hewitt; great-grandchildren, Cole. M. Hewitt and Blakeley E. Hewitt; and brother, William “Bubba” Hinds of Florence. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
