Mary Jean Gregg Weatherly

Mary Jean Gregg Weatherly 95, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Mrs. Weatherly was born the daughter of the late Zola Ward Gregg and Charlie Gregg. She was the oldest living member of Effingham Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of the Ladies Club #2, and the recipient of the Life Membership in the ARP Women’s Ministries. She loved her Lord, family and friends and enjoyed flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Cecil “Billy” Weatherly; brothers, Henry Gregg, Arthur Gregg, Boyd Gregg and Charles Gregg; sisters, Janie Gregg Hudson, Alma Gregg Scott, Ruth Gregg Leavitt and Josephine Gregg Lawhon. Mrs. Weatherly is survived by her nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
