Mary Elizabeth Jordan Abbott

Mary Elizabeth Jordan Abbott, 75, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Mrs. Abbott was born on June 14, 1947, a daughter of the late Mary Cooper Rabon and Bertie Woodrow Jordan.She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Russell Abbott; brother, Dennis “Ricky” Jordan; and sisters, Doris Rabon and Joyce Gore. Mrs. Abbott is survived by her daughter, Hope (Chris) Bailey of Florence; son, Thomas Edward (Lisa) McCants, Jr. of Manning; grandchildren, Jessica (Cody) Bailey, Gavin (Stephanie) Bailey, Lance (Kristin) Bailey, Melissa McCants, Chase McCants, Taylor McCants, and Jordan McCants; great-grandchildren, Haleigh Alexander, Kinsley Alexander, Cameron Crowley, Max Heaton, Sawyer McCants, Sylas Haase, Oakley McCants, Thomas Cade McCants and one on the way; sisters, Eunice Rabon of Marion and Wilma Rabon of Little River, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at First Free Will Baptist Church.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
