Mary Nell Walton Morgan Mrs. Mary Nell Walton Morgan, 99, of Florence, SC, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at McLeod Hospice House. Her graveside service will be held at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert G. Walton, Sr. and the wife of the late Dr. John Michael Morgan, Jr. She was also predeceased by her brother, R. G. Walton, Jr. and her sisters, Ruth Walton Reams and Ruby Walton Causey. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her son, John Michael Morgan, III (Pamela) of Florence, SC and a daughter, Mary Nell Morgan Pittman of Alachua, FL. Mrs. Morgan is also survived by five grandchildren: Meredith Morgan Banner (David) and Dr. John Michael Morgan, IV (Cynthia) of Florence, SC; and William Andrew Pittman (Lauren) of Stuart, FL; Ashley Marie Pittman McDougal (Patrick) of Florence, SC; and Clayton Robert Pittman (Katie) of Gainesville, FL. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: John (Jack) David Banner, Jr.; Morgan Elizabeth Banner; Meredith Ellison Banner; John Michael Morgan, V; and Hunter Wellborn Morgan, all of Florence, SC. The family would like to thank the loving staff and caregivers at McLeod Hospice House and at Pee Dee Gardens for the kindness and loving care that they gave Mrs. Morgan.
