MAXIE ELWOOD McCUTCHEON, SR. FLORENCE, SC MAXIE ELWOOD McCUTCHEON, SR., 66, of Florence, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his residence after an illness. Mr. McCutcheon was born in Coward, SC a son of Mary Elizabeth Springs McCutcheon Dease and the late Frank McCutcheon, who died in 1974.He had attended the Greater Vision Tabernacle Church and enjoyed racing. He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Rev. Jimmy Dease. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Sara Catherine Moore McCutcheon of Florence; sons, Maxie E. (Terry) McCutcheon, Jr. and Ronnie McCutcheon, both of Florence; brothers, Frank (Pam) McCutcheon and Dallas (Marilyn) McCutcheon, both of Florence and Levone (Dale) McCutcheon of Barnwell, SC; sister, Margaret Poston Holden of Florence; three step-brothers and three step-sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
