Mickey Joyce Prevatte Grice

Mickey Joyce Prevatte Grice, 80, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Mrs. Grice was born in Marion, SC, a daughter of the late Myrtle Stabler Prevatte and Howard Prevatte.She worked for a number of years as an Assistant Manager in the Credit/Catalog Department at J. C. Penney.She was a wonderful Christian lady who never met a stranger.A smile was always on her face.She had a kind word for all those she came in contact with. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Prevatte, her sisters, Agnes Gunter and Lois Bongiorni; and her sister-in-law, Helen Prevatte. Mrs. Grice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Grice; her daughter, Jill; her granddaughter, Ashley; and Max Falck who she thought of as her grandson; and her brother, Buford Gregory Prevatte (Sue) and her sister, Paulette Prevatte Scott (Ray).She is also survived by a number of her nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
