Mildred Ray Smith

Mildred Ray Smith, 89, of Florence, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Mrs. Smith was born the daughter of the late Lillie Smith Ray and Lloyd Ray. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, James Elbert Smith; son, James Ronald (Jill) Smith of Greenville, SC; daughter, Angela (Bill) Polen of Florence, SC; five grandchildren, Sarah and David Polen; Bryson (Lauren) Smith, Tate (Trevor) Strange and Hannah (Robert) DiBenedetto; and three great-grandchildren, Smith Strange, Jack Strange and Robert DiBenedetto. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
