NANCY JONES PEARSON FLORENCE, SC NANCY JONES PEARSON, 67, of Florence, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at her residence after a brave battle with cancer. Mrs. Pearson was born in Ware Shoals, SC a daughter of the late Horace Martin Jones and Carrie Lou Williamson Jones.She graduated from Ware Shoals High School in 1961, attended Anderson Junior College in 1964 and had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1975.She retired as a self employed court reporter. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, William Alfred “Bill” Pearson of Florence; daughters, Amy P. (Bruce) Etheridge of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mary Abigail “Abby” Pearson and her good friend, Cindy Trout,of Kalamazoo, MI;brothers, George M. Jones of Columbia, SC and Donald B. (Nell) Jones of Chester, SC; sister, Jan I. (Randy) Graham of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Pierce and Emma Etheridge. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church, Florence.Burial will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, SC directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 PM Friday in the Collins Family Life Center of Calvary Baptist Church in Florence and immediately following the service at the cemetery.
