Nathan Lee Sink, 68 of Lake City, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.He was born and raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina to the late Sidney Lee Sink and Wanda Warren Sink Benton.Mr. Sink had made his home in Lake City since 1996 having lived previously in Jensen Beach and Ocala, Florida.Nathan followed in his father’s footsteps in the construction industry starting his career building custom homes in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.Through his career, Mr. Sink worked for Rodgers (Centex) Construction, Frank J. Rooney (Centex) Construction, Columbia County Construction Management and retiring in 2013 from Moss and Associates Construction as an Operations Manager.Mr. Sink was the Superintendent for over 17 projects including the Marion County Courthouse, the Osceola County Jail Expansion and the Columbia County Courthouse.He loved classic cars, being at the beach and playing his guitar.Mr. Sink was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Tina Gay Sink in 2022. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Tomlinson Sink, Lake City; his son, Ashley Sink (Lori), Pompano Beach, FL; his daughter from a previous marriage, Angela Sink, Winston Salem, NC; and one sister, Kathy Sink Bowden, Winston Salem, NC. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina under the direction of Stoudenmire Dowling Funeral Home in Florence, South Carolina.
