Newell "Ben" Coleman

Newell “Ben” Coleman, 78, of Pamplico, SC, passed away March 28, 2025 following a long illness. He was the son of the late L.B. Coleman and Maxine Finklea Coleman. Ben retired from Delta Mills after many years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church, where he also served in various capacities. When he became too ill to attend he continued to pray daily for his church family and others. He loved people and was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Betty Coleman; daughters, Emily (Michelle) Coleman and Sarah (Katie) Coleman; sisters, Marilyn Barnes, Dora Anne Gibbs, and Sandra (Winston) Gibbs; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Beulah Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
