Nina Mae Lyerly Pope Florence, SC Nina Mae Lyerly Pope, 90, of Florence, died Friday, October 21, 2011 in a Florence hospital. Mrs. Pope was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Durwood and Josie Altman Lyerly.She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Haspard Pope, who died July 26, 1999; brothers, Clifford, J.D. and John Lyerly and by a sister, Ann Coleman. Surviving are her son, Roger E. (Sheryl) Pope of Florence; a special grandson, Jason Pope of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2011 at the First Free Will Baptist Church.Entombment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
