Norma Ann Ferrell

NORMA ANN ELY FERRELL Latta, S.C. Norma Ann Ely Ferrell, 73, of Latta, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was born January 17, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio; A daughter of the late Fred Ira Ely and Thelma Samson Ely Turner. She graduated from Francis Marion College and retired as a nurse from McLeod Hospital. She also received the Who's Who in Nursing. Ms. Ferrell is predeceased by her parents and her husband John Henry Ferrell, Sr. Survivors include children John H. Ferrell, Jr., William E. Ferrell,Brenda L. (Charles) Parker, all of Florence, Barbara R. (Dewayne) Sorenson of California, John H. Ferrell, III , Timothy Ira Ferrell, both of Ohio, Alana Crystal Hughes of Wisconsin, and Evelyn Nicole (John) Harmon of Latta; her brother, Ronald Ely of Arizona, 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House of The Pee Dee, 305 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29501. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Shiloh Chapel in Latta, SC. Burial will be held at a later date at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Az.
