Ozalee Powell Poston

OZELEE POWELL POSTON Johnsonville, S.C. OZELEE POWELL POSTON, 81, of Johnsonville, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Poston was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Roosevelt "Buck" and Getha Poston Powell. She was formerly employed by Electro-Motive and by Marsh Plywood. She was also a homemaker. She attended Mt. Elon FreeWill Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. She is survived by 2 daughters; Patsy P. McKenzie (Ned Nettles) and Lelia P. McKnight, both of Johnsonville; 2 sons; Gene A. (Brenda) Poston of Florence and LaVern Poston of Effingham; her sister, Edna Powell of Jacksonville, Fl; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, and by Michelle Turner of Johnsonville, who she raised as her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludie Hubert Poston, by her son, Ray Poston and by 2 sisters. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hyman, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the church from 2-3:00 P.M. Sunday before the service.
