Ralph Eugene McAdams Taylors, SC Ralph Eugene McAdams, 88, of Taylors, previously of Florence, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. Mr. McAdams was born October 2, 1923 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a son of the late John Dixie and Maude June Boydston McAdams.He was an Army Air Corps Veteran, having served in WWII.He retired from General Electric after coming to Florence to open the mobile radio plant. Mr. McAdams was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife, Tommy Lee Box McAdams; a brother, Royce Willard McAdams; and by a sister, Bonnye Leola Phillips. Mr. McAdams is survived by his children, Michael Andrew McAdams of Kingsville, Texas, Sara Allison 'Sally" McAdams of Florence, and David Stuart McAdams of Taylors; a sister, Virginia Ruth Varnell of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Dustin Stuart McAdams and Dixie Ray Eugene McAdams, both of Taylors. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
