Ramona Shealy Player Florence, SC Ramona Shealy Player, 80, of Florence, died Monday, February 14, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Player was born in Saluda Co., SC a daughter of the late Raymond and Nannie Frances Dickert Shealy.She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 51 years where she was also a member of the Jimmy Shaw Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Glenn Player; son, Hubert Duane Player; brothers, Roosevelt Shealy, Vanolen Shealy and David Shealy; sisters, Vera Shealy and Annette Shealy. Surviving are her children, Mike Player and his wife, Shirley, Judy P. Hanna and her husband, Carroll, Glenda Gay and her husband, Mike, Marsha Poston and her husband, Deryl "Slick" and Steve Player, all of Florence; brothers, Jack (Geraldine) Shealy of Batesburg, SC, Broadus (Nancy) Shealy of Leesville, SC and Vernon (Brenda) Shealy of Batesburg, SC; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Shealy, Dot Shealy and Shirley Shealy. Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1356 Pineland Drive, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Southside Baptist Church.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
