RAYMOND CHARLES SMITH Florence, SC RAYMOND CHARLES SMITH, 75, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mr.Smith was born in Orwigsburg, PA, a son of the late Earl Smith and Olive Krammer Smith. He received his BA from Penn State and was a business manager with S.I.P. of the ESAB Group. Mr. Smith was active in Little League Baseball and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivingare his wife of 47 years, Grace Irene Marbarger Smith of Florence; his children, Jeffery (Abigale) Smith of Lenhartsville, PA and Dr. Cory (Lisa) Smith of Florence; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Dustin Smith, Garrett Smith, Dillon Smith, all of Pennsylvania, Natalie Smith and Caroline Smith, both of Florence; his sister, Earla Schaffer of Reading, PA. Funeral services will be held 11:00A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Saturday prior to the service.
