Raymond N. "Ray" Gibson

Raymond N. “Ray” Gibson, Jr., 57, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, after an extended illness. Mr. Gibson was born the son of Raymond N. Gibson, Sr. and the late Cecile Jeffords Gibson.He served as a certified paramedic in several counties in South Carolina for twenty-five years. He graduated from Wilson High School where he played football and baseball, attended Francis Marion University, and was a licensed private pilot. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his uncles, Nelson Gibson, Jr., Clarence Alton Gibson, Norwood Gibson, Aubrey Gibson, Travis Gibson and Don Gibson; and aunt, Carolyn Kennedy. He is survived by his father; his aunt, Judy Baker (Rhett) and many cousins and extended family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Family will greet friends following the service.
