Reverend Jerrold R. Aiken

Reverend Jerrold R. Aiken, 93, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Reverend Aiken was born the son of the late Roberta Haselton Aiken and Robert Lee Aiken. He pastored at Immanuel Baptist Church for 35 years before his retirement and filled the pulpit for several churches in the area over the years. Reverend Aiken was a member of Florence Baptist Temple, had sung in the Men’s Choral Society and volunteered with McLeod Regional Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Virginia Arline Turner Aiken, and his son, Robbin Aiken. Reverend Aiken is survived by his nieces, Cathy (Rob) Steinert and Diane Rawls, and daughter-in-law, Libby Aiken. Friends may pay their respects at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home from noon until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Funeral services will be private.
