Robert Kelly Hunter

Robert Kelly Hunter, Sr., 87, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Mr. Hunter was born the son of the late Fielda Ann Rabon Hunter and Hardy Marion Hunter, I. He graduated from McClenaghan High School and was a member of the Goodbuddies’s Club which consisted of his high school buddies.Mr. Hunter was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and Service Manager at Sears. He was employed with Sears for 40 years. He was also a member of the Woodstone Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed teaching his grandkids to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Hardy Tyram Hunter and sister, Mary Ann Dawson. He is survived by his faithful wife of 67 years, Betty Jo Kale Hunter; sons, Robert Kelly Hunter, Jr. and David Stanley Hunter (Cheryl), both of Florence; daughters, Elizabeth Joy Alford (Daniel) of Galivants Ferry, SC and April Denise Buckwalter (Burnell) of Timmonsville; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Brock Hunter of Blenheim; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
