Robert Allen Lewis, Sr.

Robert Allen Lewis, Sr., 81, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Mr. Lewis was born in Horry County, a son of the late Clancy Edward Lewis, Sr. and Mildred Mintz Lewis. He attended Pisgah United Methodist Church and served in the SC Air National Guard. Robert had been a homebuilder for over 50 years and was former president of the Pee Dee Homebuilders Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Edward Lewis, Jr. and William Lewis. Surviving are his wife, Linda Smith Lewis; sons, Robert Allen (Meg) Lewis, Jr. and Ryan Clark (Glenda) Lewis; grandchildren, Weston Lewis, Hayden Lewis, Ausley Lewis, Lilly-Claire Lewis, and Clancy Lewis. Memorials may be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church, 621 N. Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC 29501. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Monday, March 6, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
