Robert Clayton Smith

Robert Clayton Smith, 57, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Mr. Smith was born a son of the late Annie Laura Powell Smith and Edward Smith.He graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1981.He was a volunteer Fireman and EMT for Palmetto Rural Fire Department, a glass worker at Palmetto Glass and a fire inspector for Kissler – O’Brien in Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Anne Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Sherry Ulmer Smith; sons, Robert Clayton Smith, Jr. and Joshua Glenn Smith; granddaughter, Violet Louise Smith; niece, Brandy Miles and nephew, Bradley Player. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
