Ronald Sherman Hawkins

Ronald Sherman Hawkins, 90, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Mr. Hawkins was born the son of the late Ruth Worters Hawkins and John Frederick Hawkins.He attended Malden High School in Malden, MA and Brooks Institute of Photography. Mr. Hawkins was a veteran of the US Marines, serving tours of duty. Including the Korean Conflict. He received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Services, and National Defense Medal.He worked with UFO Hunters Encounters. Mr. Hawkins also worked on documentaries for News Week, was a motion picture projectionist and a professional photographer for FayFoto in Boston for seventeen years.He enjoyed baseball and was a professional umpire of Class C Baseball. He is survived by his nephew, Charles Wheeler of Florence and his close friend and doctor, Dr. Michael Carvalho.
