Rose Marie (Prentki) Kozacki

Rose Marie (Prentki) Kozacki, 79, of Florence, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Kozacki was born the daughter of Stella (Tojek) Prentki and Adam Anthony Prentki. She grew up in the “Black Rock” section of Buffalo, New York, and always fondly remembered her childhood there. Mrs. Kozacki later moved to Tonawanda, New York, where she met many “true friends,” including Richard (Trulee)Reimer; Violet (late Frank) Rowe; and Curt (late Ann) Korff. She also previously worked as a Florist/Produce Manager for Tops Supermarket and as a homemaker. Upon retirement, Mrs. Kozacki ultimately moved to Florence, South Carolina, to be closer to her children. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband, Jerome Frank Kozacki and brother Adam (late Susan and Rose Snyder) Prentki. Mrs. Kozacki is survived by her son, J. Scott Kozacki (Dr. Krista Kozacki) of Florence; daughter, Cheryl (Bob) Frey of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Stefan Kozacki, Jacob Kozacki, Emily Kozacki, Marissa Frey, Alexandra "Ally" Frey and Nicholas Frey; great grandson, Jaxon Cabot; brother Henry (Susan) Prentki; sister, Theresa (late Richard) Evans, and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 12:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place at the Florence National Cemetery at a later date.
