Rosemary J. Avin

Rosemary J. Avin, 97, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She was born in Greenville, SC, to the late Bluford V. Johnson and Maybelle Campbell Johnson. Mrs. Avin worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Refcon LLC. She attended Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Avin was an avid reader, gardener and loved knitting and needlepoint. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Avin; daughter, Carol W. Emrich; two brothers; three sisters and daughter in-law, Sandra Williamson. Surviving are her sons, Roger (Susan) Williamson and Conway Robert Williamson, daughter, Janet W. (Tom) Freeman; grandchildren, Elizabeth McKenzie, Matt McKenzie, Christoper McKenzie, Paul McKenzie, Kelly Johnson, Kristin J. Brunson, Brandis W. Winstead, William R. Williamson III, James Reed Williamson, Conway Williamson, Whitney W. Messervy and Joshua Williamson; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother, Michael Kern (Janice) Johnson; sister, Linda (Jimmy) Kirk and son-in-law, Ed Emrich. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
