Sadie Lou Buffkin

Sadie Lou Buffkin, 85, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Monday, March 13, 2023 in her home. Born November 13, 1937 in Columbus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Hubert Frank Long and Annie Mae Stanley Long. Sadie was the widow of Everette M. Buffkin and a member of the Florence Bible Chapel, and had been a longtime comptroller for Southern Systems Business and Data Forms Company. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mack Long and Jack Long, Sr., and two sisters, Letha Mae Ray and Betty Mills. She is survived by two daughters, Sharron (John) Floyd of Lugoff, SC and Calista A. Buffkin of Florence, SC; and sister, Beatrice Smith of Hampton, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Bible Chapel, 1400 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505 or Gideons International, PO Box 664, Lugoff, SC 29078. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, March 17, 2023 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3320 S. Cashua Drive, Florence, SC 29501, with the service to be held at 2:00 pm in the mausoleum chapel. Entombment will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
